United Way Helping Kids Thrive Drive Event
It’s Christmas in July season, and Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township has a little gift for guests that help stock supply shelves at local schools.
On Tuesday, July 25th, the ASM Global managed Mohegan Sun Arena will host a hygiene and school supply drive from 10am-2pm outside the NBT Bank Box Office in support of The United Way of Wyoming Valley’s “Helping Kids Thrive Drive”. Donations support The United Way’s 27 Nurse’s Pantry programs at 8 local school districts. The Nurse’s Pantry tackles chronic absenteeism and encourages early grade success by providing basic necessities to at-risk students.
Guests that donate supplies or make a monetary donation in support of the program will be entered to win tickets to a luxury suite for a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins game this season, plus are eligible to save 25% on tickets for select Mohegan Sun Arena events when purchasing in person at the Box Office during the drive.
Eligible events include:
- WWE RAW | November 6th
- Jurassic World Live Tour | November 24th – 26th
- Additional events may be included that day

- Baby wipes
- Deodorant
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Mouthwash
- Floss
- Shampoo
- Soap
- Socks
- Pencils
- Pens
- Notebooks
- Backpacks
- Erasers
- Glue Sticks
