PIAA District II High School Basketball Championships presented by Allied Services
PIAA District II officials have partnered with Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township to bring the 2018 District II Boys’ and Girls’ High School Basketball Championships to Mohegan Sun Arena. Game dates for 2018 will be Thursday, March 1st, Saturday, March 3rd and Sunday, March 4th.
Due to the pending storm on Friday, March 2nd, all games scheduled for Friday have been moved to Sunday, March 4th. Full revised schedule is below
Thursday, March 1st
4:00 p.m. – Girls 1A Championship – Forest City vs. Susquehanna
6:00 p.m. – Girls 4A Championship – Greater Nanticoke Area vs. Scranton Prep
8:00 p.m. – Boys 3A Championship – Holy Redeemer vs. Wyoming Seminar
Saturday, March 3rd
12:00 noon – Girls 3A Championship – Holy Redeemer vs. Dunmore
2:00 p.m. – Boys 2A Championship – Northwest vs. Holy Cross
4:00 p.m. – Boys 4A Championship – Valley View vs. Scranton Prep
6:00 p.m. – Girls 5A Championship – Crestwood vs. Abington Heights
8:00 p.m. – Boys 6A Championship – Scranton vs. Hazleton
Sunday, March 4th
1:00 p.m. – Boys 1A Championship – MMI Prep vs. Susquehanna
3:00 p.m. – Girls 2A Championship – Old Forge vs. Northwest
5:00 p.m. – Girls 6A Championship – Hazleton vs. Scranton
7:00 p.m. – Boys 5A Championship – Dallas vs. Abington Heights
Ticket prices for the District 2 finals at Mohegan Sun Arena are $7 adults and $4 students. All seats are general admission. Tickets are on sale now. All tickets must be purchased at the NBT Bank Box Office at Mohegan Sun Arena. The NBT Bank Box Office will be open at 10am on Thursday and Saturday, and will open at 11:30am on Sunday. All sales are cash only. Parking fees are included in the ticket price. Tickets are valid for all games scheduled on that day as long as you stay inside the venue. There is no free re-entry. If you choose to leave following a game and wish to return for another game you must pay the full ticket price. District 2 Gold passes will not be honored for the District 2 Championships at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Point and shoot cameras, professional lens and video cameras are permitted for this event. No selfie-sticks or GoPro devices.
SIGNS, BANNERS, LARGE FACE DISPLAYS, FULL FACE PAINTING & BODY PAINT ARE PROHIBITED IN ACCORDANCE WITH PIAA RULES.
Partial proceeds from game programs will go to support the rehabilitation of pediatric patients within Allied Services. Programs are $2 at the door and are subject to availability. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to sign up for the Allied Services #MiracleShot at half time of each game to attempt to win $1,000.
